What happens if you haven’t yet worked with a family like mine?

The Nanny Factory is dedicated to the well-being of families. We are eager to serve families, who desire to have reliable, quality child care at their fingertips. If for some reason we have not served your particular need, you are not at a disadvantage, quite to the contrary. Here’s why: nanny agencies and most online babysitting services are ALL probably doing the same things to attract families. We know that this creates a lot of repetition. What our clients will find is that we bring a fresh, innovative perspective to the world of child care. Our process is like no other. We don’t just give you a list of names of registered “babysitters” in the area, instead, we do all the work for you as far as qualifying our team and ensuring that they are well-equipped to provide outstanding child care, whenever you need it.
 

How are you different from other “babysitting/nanny agencies?"
We ONLY provide nanny service for your family’s particular needs. That means, each nanny is factory certified, by our agency, to better serve you. If you need an Afterschool Nanny, then, you’ve got it!  We are not a babysitting database company. We believe that families want the detailed care of a nanny. You prefer to have someone care for your kids, not “sit” with them. Because of this, The Nanny Factory specializes in nanny care for all families, whether it’s long-term, on-call, short term, special events or temporary. We make finding Good Help, easy to find, and our service meets every family where they are.
 

What type of family do you work best with and what is expected of them [families]?
The Nanny Factory’s Members Only Program, services, products and events were created for families who are absolutely excited and deadly serious about getting the exact child care they need, whenever they need it. Our families understand that they don’t have to compromise the quality or value of great child care. Families will find that hiring our nannies make sense, is easy and takes the family dynamic to a whole new level.
 

Being a no non-sense, high achieving go-getter as an agency, The Nanny Factory prefers to work with families, who are also high achieving go-getters, who are super-ready to get going, create systems for child care, ditch the excuses and say good-bye to mediocre babysitters, who just want to get by to pay their cell phone bill this month.

As a client at The Nanny Factory, you have our promise to exceed your expectations when it comes to your child care. In return, you will be expected to treat each of our nannies with respect, abide by our written rules of engagement and communicate clearly any concerns or requests that you may have.

What type of family is this service NOT going to work for?
Please know that we are very selective of the families that we choose to work with at The Nanny Factory. Our nannies are employees of the company. As a team, we also watch closely and monitor the families that work best with us, choosing to (gently) turn away families or organizations who aren’t suited for our programs and won’t get the benefit for which they would have signed up for. (It wouldn’t be fair to them.)

The Nanny Factory’s programs are NOT for those who have no budget for this type of child care and are absolutely, financially desperate, at least not right away. It has been our experience that families, who are in financial crisis are not in a space to fully appreciate and value the quality that the nanny brings to the table. We find that this is probably because they spend so much time worrying about how they are going to pay this month’s bills.) Trust us, we know, because we've been there.
 

If you fall within this category, it’s absolutely OK. Do yourself and your family (3) favors:

1. If you are employed, consult your HR department about dependent child care reimbursement. While The Nanny Factory does not direct bill dependent care benefits (at least not yet), we will be more than happy to provide you with a receipt of your service, per month.
 

2. Sign up for the FREE tools on this website. The free information, like weekly podcasts, online newsletter and articles offer fun, creative ways to come up with the resources you may need to support your child care costs.
 

3. Create a system for child care. Make it EZ for someone like a friend or family member to step in and help you at the drop of a hat.  That means, create a quick and easy dinner menu that can be pulled together, if you have something unexpected come up and get creative about ways to compensate your help, without breaking the bank.

Another type of family that will not work well with The Nanny Factory (without exception is the whiner or the chronic skeptic, as well as those who constantly make excuses for not returning on time to end the nanny’s shift or those who are challenged at treating our nannies with respect. If you know that you send off this kind of vibe, we gently and respectfully ask that you do not contact us, and we hope that you understand why.

Our mission at The Nanny Factory is to care for the kids, we simply don’t have the time to nurse adults, who crave the attention. We’ll probably just not work well together and we wouldn’t want you to waste your time or money. Is that fair?

What exactly are The Nanny Factory’s programs and what do they include?
We are here for you, whenever you need it. Our back up nannies are based on availability. We want to make it easy and convenient to get the care that you need, whenever you need it. For families who are looking for more long-term or specific child care, we examine the full scope of what is needed. We want to know what type of child care that you currently have in place, if any and what is the best way to come in and be of service to you. While The Nanny Factory’s focus is to provide child care that is easy and reliable, we also offer nanny placement service for families, who desire a more long-term, exclusive approach.

What does “Factory Certified” mean?
We use the term, "Factory Certified" to reiterate the fact that we actually know our nannies on a personal level. All of our nannies undergo a thorough background check for Federal, State and Sex Offender Registrery. They have a clean driving record and are comfortable transporting your child in their personal vehicles. They have passed a TB Skin Test, are CPR & First Aid Certified, are fully insured and bonded and undergo random drug testing, ongoing training through our agency, and other outside resources.

How do I apply for a job at The Nanny Factory?
The Nanny Factory is always hiring. You must be 21 years of age, legally able to work in the United States, speak English, have at least four years of child care experience and college credit hours in Early Childhood Developement (preferred).

What results can I expect?
You can expect quality child care, every time! Our nannies arrive at your home with age appropriate activities prepared and are eager to engage in your child’s care. To get started, complete this form.
 

How quickly can I expect to receive my nanny?
If you choose to use our nanny selection services, we can usually place a nanny in your home within 2 to 3 weeks and within 24 hours for the Backup Plan service.
 

What happens if I am not satisfied with your services or the nanny that you have chosen for my family?
We stand behind our work here at The Nanny Factory. We are committed to going the extra mile to ensure your satisfaction. If for some reason, your nanny is not a good fit for your family, you will have access to our personal client care cell number and will be instructed to contact us immediately. In some cases, we can offer a trial/audition period in hopes of finding the nanny that is right for you. We also have our very own Nanny Doctor, who is available to consult with you one to one to uncover your deep concerns or needs.

 

How will we work together and how does your agency work?
Once you decide that nanny care is right for your family, go to our website and complete the online form. A Nanny Concierge will contact you to review your request. Then, you will be asked to complete a family registration form in its entirety. Once your registration is received, we will begin the process. To get started go here.
 

Do you offer any discounts?

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. In fact, we ask that you have a credit card on file. This makes is SUPER easy to reserve your Back Up nanny, pay for services and keep your membership current (if you choose to join the club). You will receive a record of all payments that you make. Your information is secure here.

What if I need a nanny NOW?!?
We understand your sense of urgency, however, the on demand option is exclusively available to families, who have already registered with The Nanny Factory. It is vital that we have your information on file, get to know you a little better through our "Get Acquainted" call and answer any questions that you may have. We promise, once you register with us and make your registration payment, reserving your nanny, in the future, will go as quickly as you want it to. What can I expect from our nanny? Can he/she take our children places?
You can expect the very best in in home child care. Your nanny will arrive at your home or specified location with a bag of goodies (books, stickers, crafts, etc) to keep your little ones engaged, while you tend to things that interest you. Yes, the nannies that we hire, have clean driving records, are insured, have clean vehicles and are comfortable in transorting your child/ren, locally to events, play dates, local parks, birthday parties and anything in between. You will need to properly install the car seat or booster seat for your nanny and you will be charged the current rate per mile of $.59. This cost will be charged to the credit card on file, following your nanny's shift.
