The Nanny Factory Policies
CHILD CARE SERVICE POLICIES
THE NANNY FACTORY understands that sometimes life happens and for whatever reason, you are unable to uphold your end of the agreement as outlined in your agreement in partnership witH us.
Upon your agreement to enter into a contract with THE NANNY FACTORY as a client of THE NANNY FACTORY, you agree to abide by the policies of THE NANNY FACTORY as stated in your agreement.
Application and Registration Fees
The client agrees to pay the initial registration fee to begin the nanny matchmaking process. This initial registration fee is nonrefundable and is good for up to 12 months to ensure the client’s nanny placement satisfaction.
Certification
All nannies are Factory Certified through THE NANNY FACTORY, which means they are CPR + First Aid certified, have undergone a background check covering federal, state and sex offender registry. Nannies of THE NANNY FACTORY have consented to random drug testing and undergo ongoing training as part of their certification.
The nannies are insured, bonded and covered under THE NANNY FACTORY’S policy.
Hourly Charge
The family agrees to pay the hourly charge as spelled out in the agreement. Payment is made to THE NANNY FACTORY using the credit card on file. Alterations to the hours reserved must be approved by THE NANNY FACTORY, as soon as possible. The alteration of the reserved hours is at the discretion of THE NANNY FACTORY.
Return Policy
If for any reason the family is not satisfied with the nanny, who is assigned to them, they are to contact the agency director to discuss a replacement, subject to availability. THE NANNY FACTORY does not offer refunds, but will reserve a credit for future use with a nanny replacement.
Gratuity
Gratuity by the family, to the nanny, is not required by THE NANNY FACTORY and is completely optional based on the family's desire to provide. THE NANNY FACTORY is in no way liable for the accounting and taxes of gratuities provided to the nanny by the family.
Guarantee
THE NANNY FACTORY offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee and will work with each family to ensure overall satisfaction with the selected child care.
Cancellation Policy
THE NANNY FACTORY requires a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if the family decides they will not be using the nanny on the reserved day. If a notice is not delivered over-the-phone or by email within the 24 hour timeframe, the family will be automatically charged a $25 cancellation fee to the card on file.
Late Fee
The family understands that charges for the services have already been collected at the time the reservation was made for the nanny. If the family keeps the nanny past the scheduled end time of work, the family is required to pay overtime fees. The Nanny Factory holds overtime charges as follows:
A $25.00 charge for every :30 minutes past the scheduled end time
Nanny Responsibility
The family understands that the nanny's top priority is the well-being of the child (ren) in his/her care. While the nanny is responsible to ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the child (ren) area, he/she is not responsible for cleaning the house or running the family's errands. The nanny's assignment is to care for the child (ren).
Transportation
The nannies at THE NANNY FACTORY are cleared to transport their charges, locally, in their vehicles. In fact, we recommend that the nanny utilizes their personal vehicle when transportation is required. If the nanny is to transport their charges, the parents MUST install the car seat or booster seat for their nanny. There will be a $.59 per mileage charge if the nanny uses his/her vehicle. At the end of each shift, you will approve the mileage sheet with a signature. The mileage will be charged by the end of the next business day, following your reservation.
Lunch Breaks
Your assigned nanny will take a paid: 30 minute break for every 4 hours worked. That means, she may eat, put the baby to sleep, if applicable or have small children do a craft or activity that does not require rigorous supervision. The nanny will have the children under her supervision, while on break and may opt to have the children take a: 30 minute rest time as well. Concerns regarding this policy must be expressed up front to ensure that THE NANNY FACTORY properly outlines the family’s expectations.
Our Hiring Policy
Our nannies are a part of our team. They are our employees. Great effort and training is invested in finding the very TOP talent to serve you. We enjoy the exclusivity of employing nannies at our agency. With that said, we ask that you do not hire your assigned nanny to work privately for your family or others that you feel will benefit from his/her care, without receiving written consent from THE NANNY FACTORY first. You may not hire, or refer to others, and candidate(s) presented by THE NANNY FACTORY without full consent of the agency. Any employment, or referral of any candidate(s) without such consent will result in your full payment of THE NANNY FACTORY’S Finder's Fee for the flat rate of $1,250.00. Hiring an employee of THE NANNY FACTORY without THE NANNY FACTORY’S consent may result in legal action as outlined in the family agreement.
