Hello Baby Sleep Trainer families!
With Daylight Saving Time (DST) ending on Sunday I thought I would share a few tips a on how to tackle this transition.
The most important things to keep in mind are:
You want to split the time difference by about half an hour, so if your kiddo typically gets up at 6 am you would get them up Sunday morning at 5:30 am (based on what the clock reads). This will feel like 6:30 am to your little one, only slightly later than you typically start their day.
Keep your regular schedule on Sunday, but do everything 30 minutes EARLIER by the clock all day. If nap time is normally at 1:00 pm, put them down when the clock reads 12:30 pm. Again, this will only feel about 1/2 hour later than your child is typically used to going down.
On Monday morning, forget the time change ever happened and go back to doing things at your typical times by the time on the clock.
