Holiday Gift Giving Guide for Your Helpers

The holidays are an interesting time. Some of us get a little stressed out about what to give those, who mean so much to us. As for me, I like to give gifts that will really make a difference in someone's life or one that really illustrates that I've been paying attention to who they are.
This holiday season, it's important to show your gratitude and love to those, who help you with life. People such as your gardeners, beautician, massage therapist, mail carrier and last but not least, you nanny or child care provider.
I'm even adding my fitness coaches on the list this year because they have been so instrumental in helping me whip this body into shape and I appreciate that.
It's easy to just pick up a gift card or put cash in an envelope, I want you to go deeper than that. Cash and gift cards really have no meaning. I'm sure that your nanny or mail carrier would very much appreciate a little extra cash, but a nice scarf or Adele CD would carry more weight. It shows that you put some thought into what to get them. Everyone wants to feel special.
As a nanny agency owner, I take great care in ensuring that our families know what their nanny likes and prefers. When a family registers with us, they are given a quick sheet for each nanny, who serves their familiy. The quick sheet reveals things such as: the nanny's favorite author, favorite restaraunt, favorite color, scent, nail salon and so on.
We like to get this information, up front, for the families because we prefer that the family give gifts that really make a difference when they feel compelled to reward their nanny. This information is very helpful for birthdays, nanny appreciation day and especially the holiday season.

There are only eleven days left until the BIG day. There's still time to think about what you can give to those, who help you on a daily basis. Instead of throwing cash on a gift card, give them something that will make them feel special and will make them think of you everytime they use that special item or look at it. It only takes an extra few minutes to give a gift that matters. Take the challenge.
Happy Holidays!
xoxo
