It's Time to Spring Forward, Is Your Child Ready?

Hello to all my lovely families!!
I hope you're all getting the rest you need and that you're welcoming the return of sunnier weather. I'm back with another post on how to get through the time change coming this weekend. The Spring time change tends to be a lot easier on kiddos (even though Mom and Dad lose an hour of sleep) because babies and toddlers who tend to wake early in the morning now suddenly shift to a later morning wake time!! Keep in mind that now that Daylight Saving is starting, you'll simply want to shift your entire schedule forward this Sunday by an hour. If your little one normally wakes at 7:00 am, get them out of bed when the clock reads 8:00 am, and put them down for naps and bedtime an hour later than you normally would all day. You'll have a choice on Monday morning - if you want your kiddo to start their day later than they currently do, don't get them up until the clock reads your desired wake up time every day going forward. That should go a long way in helping earlier risers start their day at a more reasonable time. Want an even more detailed explanation of how to make this time change easier on your family? Check out the full blog post here. Sweet Dreams!!

P.S. If you know of anyone who might benefit from a sleep consult send them my way! If they decide to book a consultation, I'll ask them who they were referred by and if they mention your name, I email you a link for a free week of follow up support to be used at any time. These weeks of follow up support are especially helpful when navigating things such as transitioning from the crib, dropping naps, early morning waking, etc.
